Crossly's application
« on: February 04, 2012, 08:38:29 pm »
Hello to NSOF officials.

I stumbled upon your TS page looking for a way to converse inside  Battlefield BC 2 and ended in conversation with Red Rob. It was a rather circuitous route as I downloaded TS tried lots of IP numbers heard lots of conversations before connecting with Rob.
He suggested I inquire re membership of your clan here as it was Ozzy based and was dedicated to the older sensible gamer.

I am based in Port Macquarie with ADSL 2 connection and really only have BF BC2 for the PC at the moment. I would consider buying BF 3 if more folk are playing this game. I have quite a modern PC setup with headset but no joystick which I would like to have as it may make flying choppers etc a little easier.

I use a little gaming as my veg out time ( not that I don't try hard) and appreciate talking to team members during assaults etc.

I last played BF 2 in NZ and had great fun with other team members at Lan Parties and from home.

Playing PC games is very dull when not able to communicate with your team. I am happy to contribute some funds should things work out to help with maintaining the network and servers.

I am just on the wrong side of 50 and am happy for anyone to email me at formerger@hotmail.com

Hi EXE Happy to oblige.

Age:
- Gaming alias:Crossly
- Location: Port Macquarie NSW
- Why you want to join: Glad to join an organised crew rather than jumping on anonymous servers and staying mute!
- Have you been in a clan before (if yes which clan)?: No
- Have you used Teamspeak or Ventrilo before?: No all a bit new but have downloaded first before coming to your site
- Are you keen to participate in scrims and ladder matches?: Yes if I can. If a little notice is given would be easier
- A link to your BF3 stats: Nil
- What is your internet connection: ADSL 2 Telstra
- Which games do you prefer to play: FPS something as realistic as possible.
- Contact Details: MSN/XFire/Email and the likes: formerger@hotmail.com
- Anything else about yourself: Family man mid fifties just enjoy the distraction of playing with other team members. Last time I could talk properly with others on my team was a few years back in BF2. ( I still think the problem for old timers like me is that the characters on screen don't move slowly enough as in real life.)
Will repeat am happy to contribute some funds to keep things maintained.

G'day.

May also be worth letting you know that I don't think anyone in {=NSOF=}  is playing any BC2 anymore.

If you have the disposable income for it I would suggest you grab BF3, it's a step up from BC2 and the game almost all of us are playing.

Good Morning All and  thanx for the replys and advice re BF BC2.

Yes I shall head out and search for a BF3 challenge it seems to get good reviews all up.

Thanks for welcome Redsky I cant seem to access your link with the ROE either directly or by copy or paste.

It comes up thus "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

Sorry I hit the sack early last night. I am obviously an oddity an early morning gamer :-) Look forward to chatting on TS later today and learning how this operates.

THanks Bones.

Yes the link worked this time. I read all and R of E and CoC. The reference to playing in pubs without TS intrigued me.

Is this not a TT outfit.  ;)

I couldnt find a spot to sign (tick) off that I have understood the rights and responsibilities. Yes it all looks fair and I am happy to abide by your rules. If I ever get to the stage of knowing how to hack then I shall hold myself back!!

Using the {=NSOF=} tag means you accept and understand the RoE and CoC

welcome mate, hope to see you in game soon
